Ed serves VisionGreenwood in many capacities, ensuring the success of Greenwood’s development into an economic engine in the Upstate region of South Carolina. Ed is committed to seeing Greenwood continue to grow and provide jobs to its residents as well as to attract new residents into the community. His philosophy is that a robust supply of jobs in Greenwood will keep families in close proximity to each other--and those families are the lifeblood of the community
Ed boasts a strong, diverse professional background, and is a veteran of the United States Navy. He retired in 2010 as the Field Operations Manager of the Property Division of the South Carolina Department of Revenue, where he became well-versed in fee-in-lieu of tax legislation to spur economic development. During Ed’s tenure, he earned his certifications in both South and North Carolina as a general certified appraiser, along with his professional designation as a Residential Member with the Appraisal Institute. During his career, Ed appraised complex special and single use properties such as large manufacturing facilities, utility companies and railroads.
Ed operated his own fee appraisal business for a number of years and presently holds the broker-in-charge real estate license, bringing a wealth of experience and expertise to VisionGreenwood as it relates to residential and commercial real estate.
